We are in Tripadvisors HALL OF FAME

It has been an AMAZING and very busy weekend here at The Clifton. First, let’s start with the Isle of Wight Festival celebrating its 50th anniversary, with many of our guests attending the festival either to work or play it certainly made for an exciting time. And we have just heard we’d won a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the 6th year straight!

Yes, every year since 2013, you, our lovely guests, have all been so kind as to leave us glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. And each year, as a result, we’ve been awarded that prestigious Certificate of Excellence.

A massive THANK YOU to each and every wonderful one of you!

Tripadvisor

What is the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence? Since 2011, the Certificate of Excellence honours hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service across the world. This designation is presented to approximately 10% of total businesses on TripAdvisor that have consistently achieved great reviews over the past year.

It gets better.

This year, after you voted us again as “excellent” consistently for 6 years, TripAdvisor wrote to us. They announced that the Clifton is now in their hallowed “Hall of Fame.”

What is the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame?

Well according to Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business:

Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years is a remarkable feat. TripAdvisor is pleased to induct five-time award winners into the “Hall of Fame.” By putting a spotlight on businesses that are focused on consistently delivering great service to customers, TripAdvisor not only helps drive an improvement to hospitality standards around the world, it also gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out from the competition.
