We are flush with success again in our category in the Island Garden Competitions! This year we not only won First Place in Shanklin in Bloom, but were also successful in Wight in Bloom, coming in Runner Up.

The judges for Wight in Bloom stated that ‘’it is a very pleasant garden with lots of variety of plants. Well laid out, good use of creative design. Planted well for a Cliff top location’’.

The selection of plants in The Clifton garden is a testament to our passion for biodiversity and sustainability.

Each plant is chosen not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its ecological benefits and adaptability to the local climate, many are selected for being drought resistant, so need less watering.

This careful selection process reflects our commitment to creating a garden that is both beautiful and beneficial to the environment. By cultivating a diverse range of plants, the garden provides habitat and food sources for various species, including birds, insects, and small mammals.

Healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving garden. Our gardener Gemma practices sustainable gardening techniques, such as composting and mulching, to enhance soil fertility and reduce waste. Furthermore by minimizing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides we contribute to a healthier environment and protect beneficial organisms in the soil.
